Antique Cars
Every weekend somewhere in America, an antique car show is being held. Vintage cars museums dot the landscape, and everyone is invited to enjoy the hobby. It was Henry Ford who launched the collector car hobby, with his famous Model T, the car for the common man. Ford products have been dominant ever since, closely followed by GM offerings.
Most cars made during the fifties can still be found at reasonable prices, and are modern enough for everyday driving. The early compacts that began in the late fifties are economical and easy to drive. They are becoming increasingly popular, and a good choice for an entry into the vintage cars hobby.
Have enough space in the garage, or driveway? If your old auto will be stored outside it must be covered to prevent weather damage. Will this be a second or only car, with frequent use? If it's a hobby car, it will need frequent road workouts to keep it running smoothly. Either online or at bookstores, there is lots of information on any collector car make and model.
Every decade has a group of vintage cars which experts agree will become valuable over time, so anyone contemplating getting into the collector cars hobby should keep track of them.
